DayBreak is Reading!

A part of our After School Program day includes time set aside for the kids to read.  While they aren’t usually too excited about having to sit down and read, I continue to stress to them the importance of reading for at least 30 minutes each day.  I admit that the past few weeks I had been slacking off, but after attending an after school conference a couple of weeks ago, that has changed! I was reminded that when children don’t read on a daily basis, it causes them to fall behind academically. So, take time to enjoy the pictures below of a few of the kids following Ms. Andrea’s directions and picking up a book to read.
