Fall Festival

This past Saturday, college students from four of the local universities held DayBreak’s 1st Annual Fall Festival!  The students are part of the college ministry of McLean Bible Church, The Gathering, and represent the campuses of Georgetown University, American University, George Mason University, and University of Maryland.

It was a beautiful day, and the students serve both adults and children in Lincoln Heights through activities such as bobbing for apples, decorating pumpkins, face painting, and a basketball game.  In addition, they performed a play to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and show His love to the children and their parents.  There were hot dogs and treats and maybe even some tricks!

A big thanks to the Gathering – students and staff – for showing Lincoln Heights the love of Christ through serving the community!

Check out some of the photos from the event.
