It’s that time of year again and we need your help with the Back to School Carnival! Hundreds of people from the community will be coming and enjoying games, rides, food and most importantly a Gospel presentation! This is DayBreak’s largest evangelistic outreach of the year and we cannot do it without a strong team of volunteers! We would love to have you join with us in bringing the light of Christ into a dark place. Here are the details:
What are the Goals of the Carnival?
To reach the community of Lincoln Heights and surrounding communities with the Gospel message and to address physical needs by providing school supplies to children.
When and Where is the Carnival this Year?
When: Saturday, August 24, 2013, 12:30-4:30
Location: Marvin Gaye Park (Nannie Helen Burroughs Ave & 50th St NE)
Volunteer Orientation will take place around the corner at The Riverside Center (5200 Foote St NE) at 10:00 am.

10:45 a.m. Carnival Set Up *Lunch will be provided during the set up time*
12:30 p.m. Registration & Carnival Begins
4:30 p.m. Carnival Ends & Cleanup Begins
What Should I Wear on Carnival day?
Comfortable clothes and shoes! Dress for hot weather. No sleeveless tops, tight or low cut clothing. Shorts must be no shorter than 3″ above knee. No open toe shoes (i.e. no flip flops) for your own safety.
How do I Sign up to Volunteer?
In order to make this day happen, we need approximately 100 volunteers to commit to serve for the whole day (10:00 am – 5:30 pm). Click the link above to register to volunteer!
